FIMI Drones in EU

what is wrong with X8 Pro and FIMI?

The FIMI X8 Pro is most likely a very good drone. But can it be officially imported and operated in the EU? Let's answer some questions that are listed as mandatory for the EU. These questions are simple:

A) Does the X8 Pro have a C1 certificate (its take-off weight is 780 grams)?

B) Does this drone from FIMI have a certificate of conformity suitable for the EU?

C) Can it be officially insured?

When is the X8 Pro launched on the EU market? Before 31 December 2023 or later?

The 31 December 2023 exemption does not apply to the X8 Pro

If the X8 Pro could in principle be considered acceptable to the EU on the basis of the Certificate of Conformity, the date of issue of which is 18 January 2024, then from 30 December 2023 to 17 January 2024 this drone certainly could not be supplied to the EU markets

Was FIMI aware of the need for a C1 certificate for their X8 Pro drone?

They didn't have the C1 certificate at the beginning of 2024, but they knew they need to have it

FIMI knew from the beginning that a C1 certificate was required in order to sell X8 drones (and other drones released on the EU market after 31 December 2023) in the EU.

At the end of May 2024, there are no FIMI drones with any of the class certificates on the EASA website.

Otherwise, is everything okay at FIMI in the aspect of respect to customers?

FIMI engineers and FIMI managers are like Heaven and Hell!

FIMI shouldn't work in the EU with the kind of business practices they have. Hundreds of firms in the EU would have been fined long ago, but not FIMI. And what is the amazing business magic of FIMI in the EU, since they are not fined, not penalised at all, and even on the contrary - they are allowed to do whatever they see fit with their clients?
